Fantastic!!!
Very good experience, spotless room, everything you need. Gorgeous buffet breakfast. Amazing staff. Easy to find, free parking and very fast internet. Would certainly stay again.
Perfect Stay
The hotel and grounds are lovely. We had an executive room and it was large and overlooking the garden. On arrival we had a friendly greeting and check in was efficient. We had dinner in the restaurant. The food was superb and presented beautifully. The staff were attentive but unobtrusive while in the restaurant which had a good ambience, and the same staff in the bar were friendly and chatty. Breakfast choice was really good and freshly cooked. Our stay was perfect – thank you.
Stunning Character
What a gorgeous setting ,stunning character 🥰 10/10 on service ,staff ,clean room and a lovely chilled vibe will defo return 😀 food in the restaurant was lovely with a special birthday plate for the hubby was lovely touch 😋 would recommend this hotel to others
Brilliant Hotel, Fabulous Restaurant, Amazing Grounds
We stayed here whist i had a meeting for work nearby, the trip advisor ratings were spot on, the staff were outstanding, the restaurant was top notch and the breakfast was excellent too. The bare was very cosy as well.
Never Had a Bad Meal
Been quite a few times in the last year and never had a bad meal, It’s family orientated Sunday
There is something for taste bud on the menu from grannie to world traveler
It’s always a different menu every time ,and always well presented on the plate and tastes has good as it looks a big thumbs up to all the staff.
A Fabulous Experience
A fabulous experience, the food was excellent, well presented and very tasty. Its not often we go out and have better food than my husband can cook. The staff were attentive and on the ball. Beautiful setting and it was lovely to be able to take our coffees out onto the patio in the sunshine.

We got married here two years ago, and since then have always returned for our anniversary meal.
We love it here, the food, the staff, the hotel, the grounds… everything.

We had a lovely meal as always, and the staff are so attentive. They even gave us some fizz with a happy anniversary plate & chocolates.
We will be back this time next year, if not before.
A Classic UK Country House
A classic UK country house that’s become an hotel. The staff are terrific the place is somewhat haphazard, so it’s ticks all the usual boxes. Comfy rooms, if a bit small, but charming nonetheless, good location with great local walks too ! We were there on a Sunday night & had to make do with the Sunday lunch menu for dinner, which was OK, but a bit same-ey. But for breakfast you can get one of the local specialities – Black Pudding ! Try it with the eggs moray
Top quality hotel - highly recommended
We had a very enjoyable overnight stay, travelling with a group of End to End cyclists. The hotel is beautifully appointed and the quality of service, food and accommodation are excellent. Our brief stay was made all the more memorable by the fantastic staff – what a credit to the hotel they all are. Thank you all (our cyclists all made it to John O Groats!!).
